Have you ever wondered how some people are surrounded by happiness and abundance all the time and virtually are prosperity magnets, attracting the best of circumstances into their lives?

Would you like to be a person who can talk about precise details and yet be able to connect with larger & varied audiences, so that everyone finds something special for themselves in your communication?

Wouldn't you like to know how easily you can find out what “makes the other person(s) tick” and hence be able to influence them in your business or relationships for mutual benefit?

Maybe you are parents, trying to bring up your children in the best way and struggling to figure out how to get across to them?

Or you are in a job and wanting better ways to motivate your team or present your plans to your boss? May be you are a teacher and finding some difficult students and don't know how to get across to them.

Are you a person at the cross roads of life and have to make a career or a life choice and do not know how to decide? Maybe there is conflict of ideas within you.

Or are you a couple in a relationship and want to bring back those special moments into your lives? Or are you about to get into a relationship and nervous about how to make the relationship work?

Here is where NLP steps in to give you exactly what you need.

What is NLP?

NLP stands for Neuro Linguistic Programming. Neuro represents the neurology of your entire body and Linguistic stands for language skills. Programming of these two refers to the deeply interlinked connection of your mind, body & neurology with the language skills you use to talk to yourself and others.

Could it be so simple? Answer is yes.

Let us take an example of what happens when a person feels depressed? The person engages in self-talk about what is thought to be lacking in life or is a failure of accomplishment, with complete disregard to everything else positive around, oblivious to all the other goodness that life has to offer.

If talk has the power to create such a deep impact on mind and body to create a condition commonly known as depression – then why can't talk also create an impact of high energy?

So what is it that NLP can offer and to whom? Be it any aspect of life, NLP has a set of tools which you can learn and apply and hence achieve the outcome that you desire.

NLP teaches you techniques to manage your own mental and physical state so that you are always in peak state. You can use these very techniques to elicit such a state in others as well. Imagine being able to get into a supercharged peak state just before your exam, interview, business presentation or audition, at the snap of your fingers?

And when you wish to have a better relationship with others – friends, families, colleagues etc., NLP teaches you how to build rapport with people. It does so by teaching you how to figure out the mechanism, by which other people process information. It thereby equips you with tools to communicate with others in a manner congruent with their mechanism to absorb the information. Wouldn't this be a fantastic tool to be equipped with and hence be able to win people over by winning their hearts?

NLP offers other tools which can be used to resolve conflicts within self and between people as well as tools to bring about a modification in the behavior within yourself or within someone around you, maybe your teenage children, maybe a friend or a colleague.

Maybe you are faced with an organizational team filled with beliefs and values that are limiting or not aligned with the aspirations and growth values of the organization. Or your company may be at a juncture requiring a complete business process and model revamp.

The applications of NLP are vast, almost limitless. Be it in specific individualistic situations, or be it in corporate environment or be it for making corporate decisions. NLP offers a bag of tools which can be used by an expert practitioner in any and every circumstance.

Principles of NLP have been used in all the teachings of sales and creative advertisements although in an unstructured manner. Can you imagine the benefits for sales and advertisement teams when they can learn and apply NLP tools in a systematic and structured manner? Success stories of NLP can be found everywhere. Anthony Robbins, one of the most well known and respected motivational speakers from USA, has cured the most serious and chronic phobias within minutes, on television. NLP techniques have been used by doctors and healers to aid in the process of healing of patients including cancer patients.

Though NLP originated from the field of psychotherapy, it is a set of tools that can be learnt by a ten year old. It does not require any prior qualification, though at this time it does require a decent knowledge of English language. This is not to say the NLP cannot be learned or applied for any other languages. It is just a case of not having trainers to teach this subject in a language other than English.
